| • Are AIG impulses dangerous for PVC screens? |
No, AirShock has been used for all types of well screens and proved its absolute safety for all of them, including PVC screens.
| • Is it dangerous to be in vicinity of the Air Impulse Generator? |
Absolutely not. All you need to do is to be at some distance from the tool (8-10 ft) during operation. Always wear eye-glasses and ear-protectors.
| • High pressure gas is fed into the tool. What do I need to do after finishing working with the tool? |
AIG is a self-firing system. This means that the tool automatically releases all the pressure (up to an insignificant threshold level) immediately when you stop supplying the gas into it. The relief valve of the control panel releases all the rest.
| • How do I know what pressure level to choose to achieve the best results? |
Every AirShock user receives the manufacturer's recommendations for the best mode of system use. In addition, the contactor can receive technical support anytime he needs help.
| • What type of chemicals can I use with the AIG? |
Any.
| • How does the tool size correlate to diameter of the well? |
There is correlation between these two parameters because shock wave should be generated at an optimal distance from the screen. By choosing the right tool size, we create optimal conditions for the process.
| • I am going to purchase the AIRSHOCK system. Am I obligated to pay any royalties or usage fees? |
No. The purchase price is the residential well contractor's only payment.
| • How many years does will the AIG work? |
The tool will be in service for many years. The first AIG was built in 1997 and it is still cleaning wells!
| • What type of maintenance does AIG require? |
From time to time the seals should be replaced. After several years of work the piston may be replaced.
| • I have bought the AIRSHOCK system and still don't have any experience in working with it. Tomorrow I have a well rehab job and need an assistance in choice of the tool working pressure and time of treatment. Whom do I address? |
With AIRSHOCK you are never alone at the jobsite. Our technical staff is always available to help you by phone or Skype. We accept calls from all over the world 365 days a year, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
| • My main occupation is drilling and I seldom have rehab jobs. How could AIG help me in my everyday work? |
AIG is the tool for well development, removing drilling mud and providing maximum hydraulic connection between well and aquifer.
During the drilling process, AIG is also used for improving well cementing and gravel pack stabilization.
| • Is the tool or the process patented? |
Yes, the process and the tool are patented by the USA patent # 6,250,388, #6,630,032 and Australian patent # 758582, other patents are pending.
| • How much gas does AIG use for working? |
Generally it is from half to one high-pressure nitrogen bottle for a 40' screened 6" well. For exact calculations, we provide our customers with an on-line table where one can calculate the amount of gas needed.
